For churches

Church online giving, without the monthly bill

Recurring tithes, separate funds, building-fund pledges, and year-end giving statements. MemberDrive charges 1% per gift and no monthly fee, so a small church pays almost nothing until gifts come in.

What it costs

MemberDrive charges 1% of each gift. There is no monthly fee and no setup fee. On a $100 tithe, MemberDrive's fee is $1. Stripe charges its card or bank processing fee separately, and you can let members cover that fee at checkout.

Bitcoin gifts have no platform fee. They go straight to your church's own wallet.

An honest note: if your church only needs basic online tithing, a church-only platform's free plan can cost less than 1%. MemberDrive is worth it when you also want building-fund pledges, matching gifts, member self-service, or Bitcoin.

Building funds

Building funds and capital campaigns

Most church building campaigns run on pledges: a family commits to a total and gives toward it over two or three years. MemberDrive tracks each pledge, schedules the payments, and shows how much has been given and how much is still to come.

A lead donor can also offer a matching gift: "I will match every gift to the building fund, up to $25,000, until Easter." A public page shows the match filling up in real time, which gives the whole congregation a reason to give now.

What MemberDrive does not do

MemberDrive is a giving and fundraising tool, not a full church management system. It does not have:

  • Text-to-give
  • A lobby kiosk or card reader
  • A custom church app or website builder
  • Attendance, volunteer, or worship planning tools

If your church needs those in one platform, compare Tithe.ly and Subsplash first. If you already use other tools for them, MemberDrive handles the giving.

Questions churches ask

Can our church take tithes online without a monthly fee?

Yes. MemberDrive has no monthly fee and no setup fee. It charges 1% of each gift, and Stripe charges its processing fee separately. Your church can let members cover the processing fee at checkout.

Can members set up recurring tithes?

Yes. Members choose an amount and a schedule (weekly, monthly, or yearly) and MemberDrive charges their card or bank account on that schedule. Members can sign in to update their card, change their amount, or cancel.

Do members get a giving statement for their taxes?

Yes. Members can sign in and print a year-end giving statement. Church staff can also produce statements for any date range from the member CRM.

Can we keep the general fund, the building fund, and missions separate?

Yes. Give each fund its own campaign. Each campaign has its own giving page, goal, and reports, and every member's giving across all funds shows on one record.

Can people give with Bitcoin?

Yes. Bitcoin gifts go straight to your church's own wallet. MemberDrive never holds the funds and charges no platform fee on Bitcoin.

Does MemberDrive have text-to-give or a lobby kiosk?

No. MemberDrive does not offer text-to-give, kiosks, card readers, or a church app. If you need those, a church-only platform such as Tithe.ly or Subsplash is a better fit.
