Josephine Rose, 11, daughter of Catherine and Devin Rose, passed on to her eternal reward in the early morning of December 22, 2023 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She brought light and joy to all those that knew her, especially her family and closest friends.
One of the challenges that Josephine faced during the months leading up to her passing was kneeling during Holy Mass, the old padding in the current kneelers at Saint Joseph’s was worn thin and this caused her a great deal of pain and discomfort. As a memorial to her we have started this campaign, with her family’s blessing, to raise a donation that would cover the cost of kneelers when the new parish is built. Please prayerfully consider making a contribution to this cause in Josephine’s memory!
Josephine Marie Rose was born on April 12, 2012 in Austin, Texas. She enjoyed doing Irish dance as a member of Mary’s Ghillies and acted in several homeschool plays, in addition to one at Tyler Civic Theater. Josephine liked to do art and make baked goods with her friends, as well as make fused glass ornaments with her grandmother. She loved Christ and His Church and attended St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Tyler.
